Meena Jutla has made a big decision as her trial continued in Emmerdale tonight.
The serial killer is currently having her time in court, after she pleaded not guilty to the murders of Ben Tucker, Andrea Tate and Leanna Cavanagh, with her sister Manpreet Sharma having to take the stand to tell the court what Meena had done.
Meena had confessed to her crimes to her sister, but without her confessing to them in court, it meant that Manpreet - after a long an agonising decision - had to face her fear and speak out as a witness for the prosecution.
However, things didn't go quite to plan as Manpreet struggled to cope with the pressure, especially when Meena's barrister got personal and started questioning about her previous lies and her 'affair' with Charles.
It is the second day of the trial, and Meena is surely convinced she has the upper hand, especially after Dr Liam Cavanagh also struggled on the stand the previous day as he was accused of being intimate with the killer.
During tonight's episode, Meena made a huge decision in regards to her case - even going against the advice she was given.
As she chatted with her barrister after the trial had ended for the day, she was advised not to take the stand - but she quickly declined and said she was looking forward to "giving everybody what they want" as she prepared for the big day.
It is not yet known how Meena's trial will end - but actress Paige Sandhu has teased it will be the "performance of a lifetime" from Meena, as she desperately tries to get away with the crimes she's committed.
Paige shared to The Mirror: "Meena actually does smash it, she does give the performance of a lifetime. Even with the defence she blows it out of the park. She breaks down in tears, she’s very convincing. There’s no hint of the mask slipping at all.
"Then with the prosecution he does go for her, but to her credit she deals with his attacks better than anyone else. I think she does manage to, in her mind, sway the jury and bat the prosecution away. I think she did a really good performance.
"The things she says are very upsetting… she does it so convincingly, you can see Liam, Leyla, Manpreet and Charles getting upset about this. They wouldn’t be getting as upset if it didn't sound so believable and true," she added, "I think the way the trial goes and the way it has been shot, the way we have the prosecution and the defence, they are both excellent actors both of them.
"I think the audience will be on the edges of their seats not knowing what is gonna happen, which way it is gonna go."
