Emmerdale fans were left feeling heartbroken after tuning in on Tuesday evening as Marlon Dingle found out what his daughter April Windsor is going through.
The schoolgirl is being trolled by someone over the death of her mother Donna Windsor, who passed away in 2014.
April set up a social media account about grief after the death of teen Leanna Cavanagh triggered her own memories from losing her mum.
April had tried to disguise her upset by pretending she had started her period, but Marlon discovered what was really going on when he overheard twins Cathy and Heath discussing it.
Clearly devastated, Marlon found April sat by her mother's grave as he confirmed to her that he knew the truth.
As the pair had an emotional heart-to-heart, Marlon asked her: "Is that why you've been so sad lately?"
"I'm okay dad, you don't have to worry," she replied as Marlon continued: "Really? Not even a little bit? Why, because the account you set up for your mum is being trolled perhaps?"
"Who told you?" April then quizzed him, as he said: "I saw it with my own eyes. You don't have to take this on yourself, you could have talked to me or Rhona?"
Looking so upset, April admitted: "I thought you might be cross with me," to which Marlon replied: "For what? Wanting to show the world how much you love your mum?"
Viewers tuning in at home were left heartbroken by the scene and praised young actress Amelia Flanagan for her performance.
"Wow this is a tearjerker tonight ~ brilliant acting from the young actress who plays April and Marlon is just so lovely #Emmerdale," one person tweeted.
Another posted: "What a lovely scene between Marlon and April #Emmerdale," while a third admitted "Marlon and April getting me right in the feels #emmerdale."
A fourth person added: "Poor April is breaking my heart #emmerdale," while another viewer joked: "This scene between Marlon and April - who is cutting up onions?!? #Emmerdale."
Other viewers are convinced that Cathy Hope is the person who is trolling poor April Windsor.
During Monday's episode of the iTV soap, Cathy approached April several times to ask her if she was okay and convinced her that they're mates and that she can always turn to her.
Emmerdale fans are certain that Cathy is the culprit, and far from having April's best interests at heart.
Taking to Twitter, one person posted: "I wouldn’t trust Cathy as far as I could throw her #Emmerdale."
Another tweeted: "Cathy is the ultimate catfish #Emmerdale," while a third added: "I bet Cathy is behind the trolling. #Emmerdale."
A fourth fan penned: "I still think Cathy is involved in this bullying storyline someone.. is it a fake helping hand she’s giving April? #emmerdale."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
