Emmerdale star Mark Charnock, who is best known for his role as Marlon Dingle on the ITV soap, has taken a break from filming as he leaves the UK for some well-deserved R&R.
Actor Mark has portrayed the role of Marlon for 27 years, making him one of Emmerdale's longest-standing stars. Marlon has been having a tough time of late as he continues his recovery following his stroke last year.
As well as more recently supporting his best friend Paddy through his mental health crisis, which in turn, means it's been a busy few months for Mark who has been very much in the midst of the drama in the Dales of late.

Sharing a series of stunning snaps, Mark penned: "Bologna/Parma photo dump. Amazing food, people, places. Bologna now hands down my favourite Italian city."
Of course it wasn't long until the comments section was flooded with well wishes for the soap legend, Alison replied: "Have a fab time!", while Victoria said: "Lovely place, I absolutely LOVE Italy!" Donna added: "How amazing! Your pics look beautiful", and Angie said: "Some stunning photos!"
