Emmerdale star Rebecca Sarker has been supported by fellow cast members as she films a new show alongside Holly Willoughby.

The 47-year-old, who plays Manpreet Sharma in the fictional Yorkshire village, will be appearing in new ITV programme The Games. The competition will see famous faces trained by some of the UK's top coaches before taking on a host of different challenges.

Rebecca will be joined in the contest by Coronation Street stars Colson Smith and Ryan Thomas. Others taking part will include presenter Olivia Attwood, model Phoenix Brown and ex-Strictly Come Dancing pro Kevin Clifton.

The Games will be hosted by Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff. Alex Scott and Chris Kamara will also feature as commentators.

While training for the show, Rebecca uploaded a short clip from what appears to be a changing room. The video shows the star wearing a red one-piece swimsuit while twirling and dancing for the camera.

Captioning the post, the actress said: "Yoohoo! Inside, I'm crying... @thegamestv@itv #training #callmyagent". Fellow Emmerdale cast members rushed to compliment Rebecca.

Priya actress Fiona Wade said: "You’re amazing!! [fire emojis]", to which Rebecca replied: "My darling xx". Paige Sandhu, who plays Rebecca's evil on-screen sister Meena said: "Holy smoke shows", and Kevin Mathurin, who plays Manpreet's other half Charles on the show said: "You look amazing! Missing you."

Ash Palmisciano who plays Matty Barton said: "You are amazing! Can't wait to see you smash this xx". Pete Barton star Anthony Quinlan said: "Good luck!"
