Emmerdale 's Mackenzie Boyd has quite the troubled backstory, all revealed when he joined the ITV soap in 2020.
The brother of Moira Dingle had two big secrets to disclose when he arrived, after wrongly believing something about his estranged sister.
Currently on the show, Mack is hiding a huge secret that is about to erupt and no doubt cause carnage for him and partner Charity Dingle.
What she has no idea of ahead of their wedding day is that Mack cheated on her with Chloe Harris, with Chloe later realising she was pregnant.
Chloe is due to give birth this week with it unclear whether Mack will go through with the wedding, or if the big secret will finally come out.
But this isn't the first time Mack has hidden something dark, or that he's been at the centre of an explosive lie.
Mack had a troubled past thanks to a family secret that tore them all apart, and left him estranged from his older sister Moira for decades.
When Mack found his sister and informed her that her mother had died the pair were on rocky terms, with Mack unable to forgive her for something he believed she had done years earlier.
Mack was just a child when his sister, aged around 18, fled the family home and never returned - with Mack never hearing from her again until they reunited in 2020.
The story was, as Mack was told, that the family were ripped apart by a devastating betrayal - and the family never recovered from it.
Mack revealed that Moira had been having an affair with a close family friend, and the discovery destroyed the family - leading to Moira running away.
He was furious with his sister for leaving him and also for what she did, but she had a different version of events.
Mack found out that it wasn't Moira who was sleeping with their 'uncle', but instead it was their mother having the affair.
Their father was said to be violent towards his wife, and even Mack, so Moira took the blame for the affair and claimed it was her to protect her mother from a possibly fatal attack.
Moira believed she was saving her and possibly Mack too, and thought running away would bring an end to his abuse but it did not.
With Moira gone, her mother and brother continued to face violence at the hands of their father until his death.
It took a lot for Moira and Mack to get through the past but they managed to, only for another secret to send Moira spiralling.
Mack dropped the news of their mother's death on his arrival, before returning again a little while later.
But he lied, and Moira's mother was briefly still alive when the siblings first reunited - meaning Moira could have got the chance to say goodbye, and fix their rift.
Mack had claimed the funeral was on a certain date, only for Moira to discover it was weeks later and she could have seen her mother one last time.
Moira refused to forgive her brother and sent him packing, but eventually they resolved their differences.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
