Emmerdale actress Isobel Steele, who plays Liv Flaherty on the ITV soap, has reportedly quit the Dales after six years.
The star first joined the soap in 2016 but is now said to have called time on her character in order to focus on music.
The actress, who scooped Best Young Actor at the 2018 British Soap Awards, will bow out as Emmerdale marks its 50th anniversary – and will be killed off in dramatic scenes set to air later this month.
A source told The Sun: “It’s been a big decision for Isobel but she’s ready to try new things.
“She feels like she’s done all she can at Emmerdale and wants to focus on her music career and make a real go of it. Bosses have pulled out all the stops for the 50th anniversary month and Isobel’s exit will be no different.
“Viewers are going to be on the edge of their seats as it all plays out and Liv is killed off. It’s a real heartbreaker, a death fans will remember for a long time to come.”
This comes as Liv Dingle has faced a set of threats from evil mum Sandra on Emmerdale.
It looked like Liv was finally rid of her scheming mother last week, as she finally sussed that Sandra was trying to scam her out of the money in her savings account.
Emmerdale's Liv revealed she was very much onto Sandra on Thursday night, after it appeared she'd been won over by her cruel mother.
Liv chucked out her husband Vinny Dingle in the previous episode, after finding out he and his mother Mandy were trying to set up Sandra, to expose her scams.
As well as scamming money out of Rishi Sharma, Mandy and Vinny were convinced Sandra was trying to steal all of the money Liv was left by her father Gordon after his death in prison.
Liv appeared to be on Sandra's side, but it soon emerged she was tricking her mum into giving her game away.
As the episode kicked off alcoholic Liv appeared to hit the bottle, not before cancelling a viewing for the house.
Sandra had encouraged her to sell up and move to Spain with her, but following the drama with Vinny she decided it was all too soon.
Not only did Sandra spend the day urging Liv to leave the village for good, she also encouraged her to drink alcohol suggesting it would help comfort her.
When Liv returned home seemingly drunk, Sandra worked on her some more and told her she needed to move away, hoping to get the money for the sale of the house.
As Sandra encouraged her to drink more, she waited until she fell asleep before opening the account - only to realise there was no money in there.
It's then that Liv 'woke up' and revealed she was faking everything, and knew exactly what Sandra was up to - with her calling the police on her too.
Mandy tackled Sandra to the ground to make sure she was properly arrested, as the latest episode then saw Sandra under intense police questioning and refusing to cooperate.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV, and streams on the ITV Hub.
