Emmerdale's Liv and Vinny 'dead' in caravan horror as fans spot 'hilarious' storm errors

It looks like the storm in Emmerdale has claimed two more lives after Liv and Vinny Dingle were left for dead after being crushed by a caravan.

Tuesday night's cliff-hanger ended with the fans fearing the worst for the young couple after the caravan crashed into them in horrific scenes, but not everyone was happy with the special effects the soap had used with many taking to Twitter to express their disappointment.

Viewers watched on Tuesday night as Liv and Vinny ventured out in the storm to go and look after little Eve, after dad Paddy rushed to hospital to be with Chas, who suffered a head injury in yesterday's episode.

Earlier on in the episode Sam Dingle, who was impaled on a tractor spike, was still alive, much to the relief of fans. Sam gained consciousness although he told Belle to tell wife Lydia he loved her as he "wasn't going to make it." Viewers also saw Nate attempt to cut Sam free.

But it was Liv and Vinny fans worried for at the end of Tuesday night's episode. Twitter user @sharon_harvey_2 said: "Looks like Liv is the next victim (especially since we’ve heard she’s leaving) that caravan fell on top of her. Got bottom part of poor Vinny though @emmerdale."

User @DanielHowe1303 said: "Obviously most people were expecting Liv to be involved but it worries me that Vinny was in the same position and they could literally kill anyone off this week. Quite mad Emmerdale is. #emmerdale @emmerdale"

@Robron75 added: "4 Dingles down how many more to go?? #Emmerdale Poor Liv and Vinny."

Despite concerns for the loveable characters, fans were not impressed by a number of "mistakes" they picked up when it came to the special effects and characters. One viewer commented how Nathan had gone out of his house to find his dad, only for his flat cap hat to remain perfectly in place, while others pointed out the trees in the background of one scene were not blowing at all - despite the wind managing to lift up a car and caravan.

@FanOfTV05 said: "So the wind has been blowing trees over but didn't blow Ethan's hat off his head." @ahh_sir said: "Apparently there are different laws of physics in Emmerdale.

Another fan asked: "Why are they walking about in the storm? Why are trees not cracking when falling?" While one viewer said: "Tuesday the 18th episode has to be the most amateurish to date, dreadful. Fake falling trees etc, comical."

Another viewer asked: "What where the writers and directors thinking when they decided on this embarrassingly stupid, poorly acted, poorly directed and laughable effects ?? These episodes are to celebrate 50 yrs ?? A total joke !! We use to love Emmerdale but we are done with it."
