Emmerdale's Lisa Riley taken aback as she spots Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid link

Lisa Riley was in hysterics as she spotted a similarity with Susanna Reid.

The actress is renowned for her role as Mandy Dingle in the long-running soap. Mandy first arrived in the fictional Yorkshire village in 1995 for a guest role at her cousin Tina's wedding.

However, the no-nonsense character proved to be a hit with fans and was invited back full-time the following year. She proceeded to be a mainstay across the next four years and was involved in dramatic storylines such as her whirlwind romance with Paddy Kirk.

Lisa returned as Mandy for a brief plot in November 2001, before the former Woolpack barmaid seemingly left the Yorkshire Dales for good.

However, Mandy made her long-awaited return to the soap 18 years later for Marlon Dingle's wedding to Jessie Grant in 2019. She has been an ever-present since and was on set filming today.

Lisa as in hysterics as she spotted she was wearing a similar outfit to Susanna as she anchored today's edition of Good Morning Britain. She said: "LAUGHING today I came to work @itv @emmerdale noticed on tv…..it seems @susannareid100 has dressed the EXACT same way as Mandy Dingle….I’m wearing the same dress for filming today."

Followers took to the comments in stitches after the update.
