Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley has been flooded with sweet support from fans as she marked her late mum’s birthday with an emotional tribute.
The actress lost her mum, Cath, in 2012 following a long battle with breast cancer. Lisa shared a sweet snap of her mum to Instagram to celebrate her special day. In the photo Cath can be seen with a huge smile on her face.
She captioned the pic: “HAPPY HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY MUM. May you shine nothing but loveliness on all of us today. Our hearts are full of love for you, surrounded by pain that you should still be with us! Now everybody is able to see your radiating smile.”

Lisa’s sweet tribute comes as she recently confirmed that her Emmerdale character Mandy Dingle is set to be part of an “incredible” new storyline.
The star, who has played Mandy on the ITV soap on-off since 1995, also addressed fans' demands for her character to get back together with on-screen ex-husband Paddy Kirk, played by Dominic Brunt.
Speaking to Inside Soap, Lisa addressed fans' requests to get Mandy and Paddy back together while teasing a huge new storyline for her character. She said: "The whole nation wants to see Mandy and Paddy together. But it's soap, as you know, and we will keep this carrot dangling for a long time.
"What I can tell you is I have an enormous storyline coming which starts in February – you can't see my dining room table for scripts right now.” Remaining tight-lipped about the upcoming storyline, Riley said it is going to be one to watch, the actress continued: “I'd even go as far as to say that it's probably my favourite storyline since I've come back to Emmerdale. It's going to be incredible."
