Kim Tate's secret of sorts was exposed on Emmerdale on Thursday night, as it was revealed she was not the new owner of The Woolpack pub.
The latest double episode of the ITV soap seemingly cleared up who Kim was talking to during a cryptic phone call earlier in the week, revealing what it was all about.
It was confirmed Kim was speaking to a known villager on the phone, and they had business to discuss.
The pair agreed to a secret deal that allowed them both to make big decisions about the future, and invest in the village.
It was later in the double episode when Kim finally confirmed what she was up to, and it had nothing to do with her wanting to buy the pub.
An earlier call saw her agreeing to a price before putting it through her solicitor to finalise the deal.
But she left the pub drama to the Dingles and pursued a separate business opportunity - as she appeared to put a long-time feud with one character to bed by helping them out.
After an anonymous bid at auction left the Dingles unsuccessful in keeping their pub, or so they thought, Chas and Marlon were worried about who might have been the bidder.
They were soon told to meet them outside the burned out pub, leaving Chas, Al, Marlon and Paddy suspicious.
Suspicions fell on Kim being the new owner after she was overheard sharing an interest in entering a bid.
Sure enough, Kim showed up at the pub just as the others had gathered to meet the new owner, leaving them convinced she was their new boss.
Chas asked Kim to stop leaving them waiting, but Kim had no idea what she was talking about and denied having bought the pub.
She was telling the truth too, as Charity Dingle and her son Ryan Stocks were soon confirmed to be the new owners, not Kim.
Kim had purchased part of a new business though, sticking with her plan for change.
It was soon confirmed she had made a deal with none other than Charity, buying her out of her half of the haulage business so that she could buy the pub.
This was who Kim was speaking to on the phone on Wednesday night's visit to the Dales.
Kim now owns part of the haulage business where Jimmy King works, making them partners - and he wasn't exactly thrilled by this, nor was his wife Nicola.
But it was Kim's partner Will Taylor who threw the biggest tantrum, believing Kim was treating it like a new toy, despite her plans to give him the business.
Will acted out over her decision and for not keeping him in the loop, and refused to have any part of it, as Kim reeled over his response.
