Emmerdale actress Isobel Steele has spoken out over her exit for the first time, and reacted to her character Liv Flaherty's tragic death.
Actress Isobel remained silent when it was reported she had quit the role earlier this month, and that she might bow out during the big stunt week.
On Wednesday night this was confirmed, as poor Liv died in her husband Vinny Dingle's arms during the storm after a caravan landed on top of her.
Her lower body was crushed and she sustained fatal injuries, leading to her passing away in devastating scenes leaving fans distraught.
Now, Isobel has spoken about her departure after six years on screen as she took a moment to thank viewers for their support.
In a video that was posted on the official Emmerdale Twitter, she said: "Hey everyone. I assume you have now watched the episode where Liv's died. I hope it made you cry.
"I definitely cried when I read it and it's been a pleasure. It's been the best seven years of my life and yeah, it's all been worth it because of you. So thank you so much."
Viewers were quick to respond to the actress, with one writing: "I'm in tears after that episode. Goodbye Liv another great character gone; you will be missed."
Another tweeted: "Thank you for everything isobel we love you," as a third wrote: "Crying my eyes out here fantastic episode gonna miss u."
A fourth fan said: "You were brilliant, you definitely made me cry," with a fifth writing: "Brilliant episode tonight heartbreaking watch though."
Both Liv and her husband Vinny were harmed as the mobile home flew towards them before landing on top of them.
But as Vinny managed to crawl himself out to safety, he realised poor Liv was trapped with her lower body underneath the back end of the caravan.
Liv's brother Aaron heard the commotion and raced to help, followed by his stepdad Paddy Kirk who soon called for the emergency services, warning Aaron and Vinny not to touch the van as it might cause her more injuries.
Sadly Paddy was right, but there was nothing anyone could do for Liv, as the emergency services arrived and informed her worried loved ones that she was pinned down.
They detailed that her lower body had been crushed by the caravan, and was now the only thing keeping her alive.
As she took her last breath, Vinny cradled his wife and sobbed as the episode came to a devastating end.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
