Emmerdale's Isabel Hodgins has issued an emotional tribute to Matthew Wolfenden.
The soap stars are renowned for their roles as onscreen couple Victoria Sugden and David Metcalfe. The two characters have endured a turbulent period in the fictional Yorkshire village - and played a central role in the Meena Jutla storyline which largely dominated the plot of the long-running soap since last summer.
The actors enjoy a close friendship away from the Yorkshire Dales and Isabel has taken to Instagram today to send a heartfelt birthday message to Matthew. The 28-year-old shared a series of snap of the two behind the scenes to mark Matthew's 41st birthday.

She said: "Happy birthday to this brilliant human who makes me laugh every single day. I love you all the way back to 2013."
Matthew also received a happy birthday message from his wife, Charley Webb, who played Debbie Dingle in Emmerdale. The couple got married in 2018 and share three children named Buster, Bowie and Ace.
Charley shared a snap of the whole family in the garden as they fired confetti to celebrate Matthew's big day.
