Emmerdale's Danny Miller won't hand over I'm a Celebrity crown

Emmerdale star Danny Miller has said he won't hand over his I'm a Celebrity crown after winning the show in 2021.

The Aaron Dingle actor appeared on Lorraine on Wednesday, amid his return to the long-running ITV soap. Aaron has returned as the programme marks a huge 50 years of being on TV.

It's been a year since we last saw Danny in the Dales, with his character leaving the village after new partner Ben Tucker was murdered by serial killer nurse Meena Jutla.

Since his Emmerdale departure, he has married partner Steph Jones, as well as winning I'm a Celebrity..., which took place in Wales last November and December.

Lorraine Kelly asked him if he would be personally handing over the I'm a Celeb crown for this series, as is tradition. She added: "You'll get a wee holiday in Australia". But unfortunately for Danny, a trip Down Under isn't on the cards.

He said: "It'd be nice wouldn't it?", to which Lorraine replied: "You have to, that's the rule". But Danny explained: "I'm actually doing panto this year, oh yes I am, in Bradford. So I won't be able to make it.

"I'm not sure whether they would have invited me anyway, it was kind of like two different shows". When asked if he'd have rather gone to Australia for his stint on the show, he said: "I mean, Wales was an hour away from me if anything happened with [my son] Albert".

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV and the ITV Hub
