A nightclub has apologised after a bouncer pushed Emmerdale actor Danny Miller against a wall and on to the ground. The incident took place at The Hive in Skegness, after a club-goer allegedly homophobically abused one of the soap star's friends.
Taj Bola, who runs The Hive, says the bouncer is 'mortified' by what he described as a misunderstanding, reports Lincolnshire Live. Danny Miller was reportedly defending the friend who had been subjected to homophobic abuse before the bouncer got involved.
Footage from The Sun shows the bouncer powerfully pushing the I'm A Celeb winner against a wall. He had been making a 'meet and greet' club appearance and turning on the Christmas lights in the Lincolnshire seaside town.

A spokesperson for The Hive said: "The venue and the door team would like to apologise unreservedly to Danny for the misunderstanding that led to the unfortunate events. We hope this does not deflect from what was otherwise a great switch on event for the town.
"Danny really drew in the crowds and made the switch on event one of the best in recent years. Danny enjoyed the Ice Bar and the Lamborghini bar and will hopefully return soon."
Brandon Driver, 20, was partying in the club and witnessed the tussle. He said: "I was just out with some of my mates for the night and I was the only person to get out my camera quick enough to film what happened.
"I don't know if [Miller] was injured. It was a hard slam against the wall though, and he did seem to hit his head."
The initial statement put out by The Hive said: "We are aware of the incident and the initial details are as follows. We stress that these are initial findings and investigations are still ongoing.
"Danny was in a booth enjoying the evening with some friends, some clubbers were allowed in the booth from time to time to take pictures with Danny. At some point a clubber who had come into the booth, was at first joking, but then became verbally abusive to a member of Danny's party and made some very disturbing homophobic comments.
"The member of the party was clearly distressed and Danny tried to calm the situation down. The door staff proceeded to remove the offending individual but he continued to make homophobic comments.
"Some members of the door-staff team were unaware that Danny was in fact standing up for one of his party against homophobic comments and this sadly led to an unfortunate escalation of the situation." Lincolnshire Live has approached Danny Miller's representatives for a comment.
