Emmerdale star Daisy Campbell has confirmed the future of her role as Amelia Spencer on the long-running ITV soap.
Daisy Campbell, 19, has played Amelia Spencer in Emmerdale since 2011, after joining when she was just seven years old. She’s been part of some major soap storylines in recent years. The former child star has grown up on screen in front of millions of Emmerdale fans.
And now the actress has spoken to The Sun about the future of her role as she revealed she's signed a new contract and which means she will be sticking around for another year. Daisy said: "I’d love to stay on it for as long as I can.

"I recently signed for another year and couldn’t be happier. But I never take it for granted because you never know when they might kill you off. It can happen to anyone."
In recent scenes Amelia welcomed baby Esther as she became a teenage mum after becoming pregnant at 15-years-old. Viewers at home watched on as Amelia went in to labour as she got caught in a huge wind storm that swept the village as part of the soaps 50th anniversary celebrations.

Speaking of the dramatic scenes, Daisy said: "When I was first told Amelia was having a baby, I couldn’t believe it because it was a storyline I’d always wanted for my character.
"And then for it to be part of the 50th... I felt really honoured. I was in the show for the big 40th when we did the live episode, but I was only 9. Still being in the show ten years later is just amazing."
Amelia is currently facing a difficult decision as she considers quitting college over difficulties finding childcare for Esther.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
