Charley Webb is eyeing up a return to the world of acting after quitting the Emmerdale last year.
Best known for playing sassy Debbie Dingle in the hit soap, Charley, 34, was a fixture in the Dales for nearly two decades before her shock departure.
Chatting on Instagram with her followers during a Q&A session, the mum subtly hinted: "When the right thing comes to me, I'll be back."
Adding a simple but promising: "Can't wait."
At the start of 2022, the soap actress confirmed that she left the popular ITV soap opera for good, saying: “I left to have Ace two years ago.
"I went back at the end of last year for ten weeks to complete a storyline so I guess officially it's been a year.
"I never felt the need to announce it so we didn't.”
It has been reported that her decision to depart Emmerdale came after Matthew and his co-star Isabel Hodgins were caught up in a race row.
Speaking about Charley's decision to leave the ITV soap, a source told The Sun at the time: "The past few months have given her time to think about the future and it is one that doesn’t involve Emmerdale.
"Matthew being caught up in the row on set fuelled her decision to step away.
"Charley has been on Emmerdale for 19 years and her character Debbie has had a rollercoaster ride. It’s time for a new adventure."
Away from the Dales she shares three children with former co-star Matthew Wolfenden, who plays David Metcalfe in the soap.
Charley recently gave fans a glimpse into their family and home life, when she posted an adorable set of snaps to commemorate her 34th birthday at the end of February.
With the family grinning for the camera, Charley wrote: "This is what 34 looks like and I couldn’t be more grateful. Swipe for the reality of a birthday with a 2.5 year old."
In a second more candid snap, little Ace, two, looked like he wanted to wriggle out of his dad's arms.
Charley and Matthew became engaged on Christmas Day in 2009, when he got down on one knee and popped the question. The couple had been dating for two years prior to their engagement.
Their first child, Buster, was born in April 2010; Bowie was then born in December 2015; and Ace was born in July 2019.
They then tied the knot in February 2018 and their co-star, Lucy Pargeter, was a bridesmaid.
