Emmerdale's Charity Dingle actress Emma Atkins was reportedly so unrecognisable during filming for the upcoming wedding scenes that her fellow co-stars thought there was a newcomer in the village.
Charity Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd's wedding finally arrives this week as the ITV soap prepares for explosive scenes and Charity, who rocked up in a cropped blonde wig and a fancy dress costume, looked worlds away from her usual self.
Her co-stars admitted even they didn't realise who she was at first as she turned up to say her vows, but will the couple, who have been going through a rough patch of late, make it to the nuptials.
Emmerdale fans will be shocked to see Charity ditching her usual glamorous attire for a white wig and cigar, which left her co-star Eden Taylor-Draper, doing a double take.
The look was inspired by John 'Hannibal' Smith, because The A Team's 'Howling Mad' Murdock, Templeton 'Face' Peck also features in the episode. Charity Dingle actress Emma Atkins admitted the the look is the "weirdest, strangest and most eccentric" yet.
In an interview with OK! Emma said: "'Eden [Belle Dingle] didn't realise it was me. She looked at me and thought 'Oh, there's someone new there' and then she went 'Oh my God, it's you!''
However, Emma did admit the wig was comfy to wear, adding: 'To be fair, I'm so used to being shoved in wigs now, I just expect it now, I just turn up and go: "Ok, what are we doing today?' And it does make it fun."
She said: 'You've got to embrace these episodes or it's just not going to be great, so every one of us was like 'Do you know what, this is going to be so much fun' and we have had loads of fun with it.'
Ahead of the wedding, Moria Dingle helps Charity to surprise A-Team fan Mack with a replica van as a wedding gift, complete with fancy dress outfits. Charity was dressed as Hannibal while Mack donned a 'Howling Mad' Murdock outfit.
The couple decide to get it on in the van but they are soon discovered by PC Swirling and later arrested because the van had been involved in a robbery.
They are forced to spend the night in the cells and are initially unsure whether their wedding day will be able to go ahead. However their vicar, Charles Anderson, agrees to marry them in their costumes.
