Caleb Milligan finally found out the reason his son Nicky has been increasingly hesitant about marrying Gabby and going through with his part of the revenge plan.
Emmerdale viewers previously discovered Nicky (Lewis Cope) is gay and has a secret boyfriend despite playing happy families with an oblivious Gabby ( Rosie Bentham ).
Caleb (William Ash) and Nicky have been scheming to get their hands on Kim Tate's (Claire King) money but viewers will know the nanny has been trying to convince his father to give up their revenge plot.
In Thursday's hour-long episode, Caleb finally discovered his son's secret and ordered him to ignore his feelings for Ally and continue planning his wedding to Gabby.
"I don't think I can do this anymore," Nicky but Caleb refused to listen to his son even when he admitted to being in love with Ally.
"We can't afford any risks. You marry Gabby, we get what we're here for," Caleb quipped. "After that, you can do whatever you want with my blessing."
Later, as the pair clashed again, Nicky pointed out: "I don't care about the money, and now that you see the truth about me, I don't see why I have to marry Gabby," but Caleb reminded him that his mother would end up homeless if they didn't follow through with the plan.
"You are not going to throw this all away because of some lad," Caleb warned. "My son… does what I tell him, no questions asked. You mess this up, family or not, I'll destroy you!"
Emmerdale fans were furious with Caleb's reaction to Nicky's confession of love and suggested the nanny team up with other village residents to take down his dad.
One tweeted: "Really starting to hate Caleb. Hope Nicky teams up with Kim and screws him over #Emmerdale," and another said: "Wonder if Kim/Cain/Moira will end up bringing Caleb down together???? #Emmerdale."
A third wrote: "I said from day one that Cain should not trust Caleb. And Cain is very protective of Moira all hell will break lose when all is revealed. #Coira #Emmerdale," while a fourth added: "Nicky light him up to Kim & take Caleb down together!!!! #Emmerdale."
"Caleb is like 'No, of course, I don't hate you for being gay, Nicky, I hate you because you don't do everything I say blindly and have your life revolve around me and my need for money' #emmerdale," someone else said.
