Emmerdale fans are sure new arrival Caleb Dingle was behind Kyle Winchester's 'disappearance' tonight.
Moira and Amy were horrified to find Kyle wasn't in the house and desperately avoided trying to call the police as they searched for their family member, their concerns only growing when they noticed blood and a ripped part of his pyjamas on a fence. Panicked, the pair were forced to call the police and soon there was everyone on the ground looking for the young boy.
Kyle has been struggling since he killed Al, with Cain deciding to take the blame for the barn murder to save his son. Since he's been in prison, Cain has been visited by his long lost brother Caleb, who is adamant he wants to sort things out.
During tonight's show, Caleb tried to get the family on side as he offered his services to help them find the little boy. However, he was shunned by Moira who sent him away when he brought over some coffees and sandwiches for them.
The police ended up finding Kyle walking on a roadside with just a minor cut, but some fans are convinced his disappearance might have something to do with Caleb - and after he overheard the police questioning Moira and Amy about Kyle's claims he killed Al and Cain took the blame for him, viewers are worried he will use that information to enact his real plan.
As he told Moira and Amy that he would use his money to hire a lawyer for Kyle and get Cain out of prison, fans were suspicious by his true motive, with one writing: "Well that’s gonna go one of two ways! He’s either gonna help them keep covering up or he’s gonna use it to blackmail them and Cain. I can’t work Caleb’s deal out yet. #emmerdale."
"I don’t think Caleb is Caleb- I think he’s nicked Caleb’s identity from the real one in prison and he is a fake. Cain didn’t recognise him as it’s been 30 years! #emmerdale," another mused, as a third wrote: "Now Caleb is going to use that information to hurt Cain."
A fourth penned: "#emmerdale when is Caleb gonna turn and show his true colours? He’s gonna go hard, they’ve given him too much space already," as a fifth wrote: "Who the heck is this Caleb?!? because he certainly isn’t a family member, and why does he sound like he’s an investigative journalist or a cop??? #Emmerdale."
Caleb is seemingly keen to help the family - but does he have any ulterior motive and why is he back now?
*Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV1, with an hour long episode on Thursday.
