Emmerdale fans are convinced Caleb has foreshadowed his own death after a telling comment tonight.
Kim finally confronted Caleb for attempting to steal all her money, before he revealed to her who he really was and why he had been doing it - and getting what he thinks he rightly deserves given Frank Tate is his father.
After being confronted by the whole Tate family, including Caleb's own brother Cain, he was shoved out of Home Farm and told to run away before things got even worse for him.
As he pushed him outside, an angry Cain - still clearly fuming about what he had done to the family - told him: "You need to run, and keep running. I don’t care about this or them. If you come near me again, I’ll end you."
Caleb seemed genuinely sorry, telling his brother: "I’m sorry Cain I really am but I tell you now I will walk, I never run."
It was then to Kim to issue her final words to him, shaking her head as she said: "You were this close but you underestimated me. Just like your father did. That was your first mistake and your last."
However, he pushed back, telling her: "You got lucky, you. You won’t always be lucky. One way or another I’ll get what I’m owed."
"Or die trying," Will added, to which Caleb replied: "What a hill to die on eh?"
Given that we know Caleb ends up being pushed off a cliff on the ITV soap next week, could his comment be foreshadowing his own death at the hands of the assailant - whoever it might be?
Dean Taylor - who plays Will - said recently: "Will is really angry about how Gabby has been treated by Nicky and blames Caleb. Will says he was drinking at the Woolpack when Caleb was pushed.
"He’d have happily pushed him I’m sure after all he’d tried to do to Kim…. But he’s innocent yer Honour. After being in prison for 18 years I’m sure he’s capable of many things…. Cross his family and you’ll pay the price!"
Cain Dingle actor Jeff Hordley also teased his character could be the attacker, saying: "I think there is always potential for anything with Cain. If he's pushed in the wrong direction or if he flies off the handle then anything can happen."
