Emmerdale fans have predicted Billy Fletcher will lose his life in upcoming scenes, after the latest episode of the ITV soap.
Billy's serial killer ex Meena Jutla is soon returning to the village, and she wants revenge after seeing Billy and partner Dawn Taylor's wedding day 'save the date'.
Fans are guessing a "massacre" could be on the cards when killer Meena returns, while it's yet to be confirmed what happens.
Now, the latest episode has left fans believing the return of another character might suggest Billy will die.
Newcomer Alex made a return this week which spooked his ex Dawn, after their previous encounter went very wrong.
Alex re-entered Dawn's life last month in the hopes of proving he had changed, and he wanted access to their young son Lucas.
It's then that viewers learned it was Alex who deliberately got Dawn hooked on drugs, including heroin, in a bid to stop her ever leaving him.
Dawn's battle with drug addiction almost killed her, and it's taken a lot for her to get her life back on track - and for her to become Lucas' main guardian again.
So when Alex headed to the village last month and then nearly kidnapped Lucas, Dawn was in turmoil and told him to leave.
After explaining Meena was behind it all, he hoped Dawn would let him see Lucas - but was furious with what she had to say.
Dawn said they needed to take it slow, so only allowed him minimal, supervised access at a much later date.
Alex was seen raging, as Billy defended Dawn, claiming it wasn't enough and that he deserved to see Lucas.
But as Billy and Alex began to row over the situation, fans began to suspect tragedy was about to unfold.
The fact Alex had returned and was tipped to be a part of Lucas' live left fans wondering what the relevance of this was.
Questioning why the soap would bring him back, some viewers wondered if it was a hint that Lucas would need Alex in his life if Billy was to be killed by Meena.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "Billy gonna get killed off and alex will be there for lucas calling it now."
A second viewer tweeted: "Meena will be wiping that stupid grin off Billy's face I reckon."
As another asked: "Why is Alex all of a sudden back in the village after weeks?" a fourth fan suggested: "Is Alex Meena’s next victim."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
