Emmerdale star Ash Palmisciano has taken aim at a school careers advisor who warned the soap fave off pursuing a career in acting.
The 33-year-old shared the memory on Instagram to mark Ash’s five years playing Matty Barton in Emmerdale. During that time, the character and alter ego, have enjoyed their fair share of major storylines.
Ash Palmisciano said: “Five years playing Matty Barton Today. My school careers advisor said ‘’It's very unlikely you’ll get a job in TV, almost impossible, too hard, you’re from a small town, working class, etc try something else’. Well Karen, it hasn’t been easy but it wasn’t impossible.
“If i can do it anyone can. Thanks for supporting the character, always grateful to have this job and thank you @emmerdale for having me play him.
“Ps. Can Matty buy the woolpack then? I’m not keen on the hop uniform.”
