An Emmerdale star says she has pleaded with bosses of the ITV soap to give her daughter a role in the show. Amy Walsh, who plays Tracy Metcalfe in the Yorkshire-based soap, gave birth to her daughter Bonnie two years ago.
The 36-year-old is engaged to former EastEnders actor Toby-Alexander Smith and is keen to bag her daughter a role in the show so she can follow in her mum's footsteps.
Amy's character has recently returned to the show, with Tracy marrying Nate and heading back to the village so they can start a new life together. Tracy also wants to open a new nursery in the village - a move which Amy hopes will see her daughter bag a role in the soap.

Amy told Mirror Online : "She’s [Tracy] always looking for the next career move. She thinks it’s a good idea to open up a nursery in the village, so that’s me looking after more kids.
"It’ll be fun. I’ve actually asked if Bonnie can be an extra. Then I could see her a bit more! I don’t think that would be wise though," she revealed of having her little one on set with her as one of the children in the nursery.

The famous Walsh sister said she is also looking forward to seeing Tracy back with Nate and said her character will put her "heart and soul" into her next venture.
Amy said: "It’ll be fun. It’ll be nice to see. Tracy moved away to Nottingham for work and she got a passion for being successful and this is just another venture she’s taken herself on, whether it works or not is another matter.
"She’s going to put her heart and soul in it. She’s just gonna put her heart and soul into it; she’s so much about creating a future for Frankie that she didn’t have and I think that’s really nice to see. It’s literally my work life echoing my home life."
