Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh and her former EastEnders actor fiancé Toby Alexander-Smith have revealed they're "beyond excited" to spend their first Christmas as a family of three.
Amy, 35, gave birth to her daughter Bonnie just after Christmas last year – meaning the couple are also set to celebrate their Bonnie's birthday in the coming days, too.
The couple say they are "beyond excited" as they prepare for the big day, which they will be spending with Toby's family this year.
Tracy Metcalfe actress Amy said: "We’re beyond excited.
"It’s our time of year anyway – it’s when we first met and all the magic happened. It just keeps getting better."
The soap actress revealed how she usually spends Christmas at her Girls Aloud singer sister Kimberley Walsh's home, so this year will be different for her.
Amy's family Christmases see a busy household as she has seven nephews while eight adults attend to join in on the festivities.
However, former Gray Atkins actor Toby's family tend to have a more 'intimate' affair.
And Toby added in the interview with OK! magazine: "We’ve got to juggle both families this year. Because of Covid, I’ve been welcomed with open arms into Amy’s family over the past two years and she’s got three siblings and seven nephews.
"Mine’s more intimate – it’s me, my parents, my nan and my sister and her husband, who have just had a baby too, so it’s going to be really special."
Then, on the December 27, the couple's daughter will turn one, which they plan on celebrating with a family tea party.
Bonnie's birthday will be a family affair – with her trying to convince her Girls Aloud star sister to do a special surprise for the tot.
Amy said: "For Bonnie’s birthday on the 27th, we’re planning an In The Night Garden- themed tea party at my mum’s house.
"I’m making a themed cake and I’m trying to persuade my sister Sally to dress up as Upsy Daisy. She owes me one as I dressed up as Olaf from Frozen for her."
However, Amy admitted that party planning isn't her biggest strength.
"I’m not a great planner so I’ll have to really up my game for my child’s first birthday," she confessed.
The year has been an exciting one for the loved-up soap couple as 2022 has seen the pair navigate their new life and get engaged.
Amy and Toby announced their happy news in August this year, with a sweet post on Instagram.
The pair beamed wide smiles in a snap they posted on social media as Amy flashed her engagement ring.
The post was captioned: "So this happened… [ring emoji, praying hands emoji and red heart emoji]
Amy also shared a set of photos of herself with her new fiancé on the evening Toby had popped the question, captioning it: "Before. During. After."
