Emmerdale viewers will see a catastrophic wind storm hit the village for the soap's 50th anniversary episodes, leaving lives on the line.
With some of the cast recently teasing multiple deaths, bosses have now confirmed that most characters will be involved in some way - with some set to suffer from serious injuries.
Producers Jane Hudson and Kate Brooks spilled to The Mirror and other press that characters face grave peril, as details were confirmed for the first time.
Filming is now underway for the series of stunts, as the storm destroys the village and the lives of those living there.
Exact spoilers are being kept under wraps, but it's said everyone will be involved in some way - with Harriet Finch, Nate Robinson, Sam Dingle, Amelia Spencer and Belle Dingle all names thrown into the mix for some of the big scenes.
Teasing the scenes ahead, Kate told us: "We're all super excited about the 50th. I think, you know, it's a massive privilege to be a part of this big massive celebration. A lot of work and a lot of effort has gone into making sure that what hits the screens is going to be magnificent, and that you guys will enjoy it as much as we've enjoyed making it.
"As part of our big 50th Week, although there's a general month of celebrations, the big 50th week will focus on a massive storm that is going to rip through the village and absolutely leave a massive trail of destruction in its wake.
"Some of our best loved villagers will be in peril. And it's safe to say that literally the village won't be the same after this, and it will never be the same again, because the impact this storm has on people's lives is just massive.
"So that is our kind of big set piece stunt. Obviously, throughout all of this, we also have stories which will be massive and peaking across the month of October. You know, Jane’s touched on it before, but two big kind of central centrepieces are The Woolpack and Home Farm.
"We are keen to make sure that we've covered all the different characters, and that all the families who are in the village are affected and impacted in some way by what happens during the month of October.
"In terms of filming, it's quite unprecedented in terms of what we're doing at the scale of what we're doing. I think there's elements of the big storm week that I've not seen on a soap before, and it's very exciting/nerve-wracking to be part of that."
Jane added: "So the whole storm takes place in one day across about three or four episodes. And it's all in daytime. It's very much a wind storm rather than a rain storm.
"We've got some amazing wind machines being tested at the moment which are epic, but they are a nightmare working with them.
"And I think all the stories that have been told across this month are stories that we've been building across the year, and nothing has just been shoehorned in. The stories are all driven by the characters and they all have an impact.
"I think it will feel incredibly different to [the previous storm we did] and it involves so many of our families. It's not just a storm that affects one small group, it affects the entire village so I think it will feel different, and I think one element in particular really will feel different.
"There is one element that trust me nobody has done, and no other soap could do it apart from Emmerdale because of where we are."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
