Emmerdale actress Paige Sandhu has confirmed she will be leaving her role as serial killer Meena.
The soap star has played evil Meena on the ITV show for the last 18 months or so - but she has announced that she will be departing the show in an upcoming storyline, as she admits she'll "miss everything" about playing Meena.
The character has already killed four people including her friend Nadine, Leanne Cavanagh, Ben Tucker and Andrea Tate. She also attempted to drown Victoria Sugden and she is currently keeping her sister Manpreet Sharma hostage.
But Paige has teased Meena's storyline is set to come to an end soon - but not before she causes some more carnage.
Speaking to Inside Soap, actress Paige said: "I think Meena’s hilarious, she’s got so much charisma, she’s so strange and odd. She’s so much fun to play. Going to those dark places is really fulfilling but then there’s that slightly comedic edge."
"I love her flamboyant nature. I’ll miss everything about her," she added, as she confirmed she would be departing the role.
Fans have been desperate to see Meena brought to justice for her crimes.
In shocking scenes last week, she confessed to her sibling the details of all her crimes.
"I want you to look at me," she began, "I want to see your face when I say their names. Now, there was quite a gap between Nadine and Leanna. But when the moment came I was so ready for it. She really should have kept her nose out of my business."
She added: "Then after Leanna there was Andrea - magic number three. See just before I killed her she let off the flare gun that set off the fire in the maze. Helped cover up my involvement - lucky me, eh?
"How about Ben. Poor, sweet little Ben. I’d been caught on one of his little camera things trying to drown Victoria by the waterfall and there we go. Four not out."
Manpreet is currently still alive but her sister has been drugging her with sleeping pills. However, her ex-husband Rishi and her daughter Aisha are starting to get suspicious about where Manpreet might really be after Meena lied and said she had decided to travel to Ibiza to be with her daughter after being injured in the Christmas Day pub explosion.
