Emmerdale was pipped to the post by Coronation Street at tonight's BAFTA awards - but both shows missed out in the edit.
The ITV soap lost out in the Soap and Continuing Drama award category at tonight's BAFTAs to its arch rival and fellow ITV soap Coronation Street.
But the award itself was cut from the show and instead added to a roundup at the end of the programme.

Fans called the decision to cut soap awards a 'snobbery.'
Nominations for the award were: Casualty, Coronation Street, Emmerdale - Holby City missed out from the nominations after being axed.
Viewers of tonight's BAFTA awards were disappointed by BBC's decision to show a roundup of who also won this evening - they took to Twitter.
@jenny692326: "Shame the BAFTAs didn’t show you till a bit at end!!"
@robdriscoll1: "Surely the majority of viewers would rather see the wins for Coronation Street and The Chase as they happened, rather than “also won tonight” at the end - instead of some of the ludicrous padding. Seems like #baftas snobbery. And yeah - it’s a sin!"
@elliot_gonzalez: "It’s a shame that Coronation Street’s #BAFTATV win was shown in an “Other Awards” package. I’ll never understand the snobbery towards soaps. The work they all do. Consistently. Is incredible. Anyway, congrats #Corrie. At least the British Soap Awards are soon."
At least Emmerdale's stars had a good night out at the awards, with Meena wowing fans with a glittering off-the-shoulder black gown which looked suitably killer.
