An Emmerdale insider has offered a hint at what the future holds for Paddy Dingle after actor Dominic Brunt admitted he feared being axed.
In recent months, Paddy Dingle, played by Dominic Brunt, has endured an incredibly challenging time following the breakdown of his marriage and the deterioration of his mental health. To compound things further, Emmerdale fans know Paddy shared a tender moment with estranged wife Chas Dingle.
Although, as reported by Inside Soap, Paddy still remains insistent the couple should get a divorce. “Paddy’s finding their current dynamic all too difficult,” an Emmerdale soap insider said.

“Having shared a moment of affection with Chas last week Paddy was in complete turmoil. He wants to be around to be a good father to Eve, and after everything they’ve been through, a part of him will always have feelings for Chas.
“But ultimately, she hurt him far too badly to think about a reconciliation. Paddy knows the only way forward is if they both move on.”
It looks like a major change is on the horizon in Paddy’s life. Actor Dominic has received lots of praise for his portrayal.
Despite this, in recent months, we’ve reported, the 52-year-old is still always somewhat fearful about his future in Emmerdale. He’s been a fan favourite for over 25 years.

“If I was to go tomorrow though, I wouldn’t complain because I’ve had 25 amazing years – but long may it continue,” Dominic said. “I absolutely love that job to pieces. I can’t explain to you what it means to me.”
