Emmerdale hints at Harriet and Dawn's murder downfall and who could expose them

Emmerdale aired dramatic scenes this week, that resulted in the murder of corrupt officer DI Malone.

The villain was targeting Will Taylor and his family in recent months over their past, while also having a fling with Will's fiancée Harriet Finch.

But events spiralled when he tried to kill Will's daughter Dawn, after she went to the police about him.

Harriet came to her rescue, only for Malone to bounce back up and try to hurt them both.

In a major twist, Dawn turned killer and shot him three times using the gun he had terrorised her with moments earlier.

The duo panicked and decided to cover up the crime, with no one else yet aware of the truth.

Friday will see the fallout to the deadly scenes, as Dawn and Harriet struggle with their actions.

But it might not be long before someone rumbles their killer secret, leaving Dawn at risk.

DS Wise is making a return to Emmerdale (ITV)

Malone's colleague DS Wise will make a comeback for the plot, and he's soon suspecting something has happened to him.

Emmerdale has teased he will have his eye on Harriet and Dawn in the days that follow, given Dawn reported Malone to the police before his disappearance.

Speaking about the scenes and what it could mean for her character, Dawn actress Olivia Bromley said her character would be worried about what comes next.

She explained: "Very worried! A senior police officer is missing and Dawn made a formal complaint about him just days earlier.

"It will be very hard for them to prove it was self defence..."

Viewers will have to tune in to see whether they can really keep the crime under wraps.

Emmerdale airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
