Emmerdale fans have accused writers of turning one of the characters "mental" and have speculated about a new romance twist.
In the latest episode of the popular ITV soap, Rhona Goskirk seems to struggle to deal with her stepdaughter's latest antics. April Windsor not only got into a fight during which she punched a fellow classmate, but also pierced her bellybutton in secret which had caused an infection.
Rhona was keen to find a scapegoat for the teen's behaviour and tried to blame Naomi Walters for being a bad influence. During a heated argument, Rhona reaches out to lift Naomi's shirt to see if she had a bellybutton piercing, causing Naomi to push her away in selfdefence.

Rhona then falls to the floor just as her husband Marlon Dingle arrives to see the encounter. Marlon was having none of it and told Rhona she had gone to far.
Accusing him of siding with his kitchen assistant and not his wife, Rhona fumed: "I thought I meant more to you than that," before walking out. The end of the episode left viewers wondering what was in store for Rhona, with many angry that the character was undergoing a change.

And Nwando agreed, writing: "I feel for Rhona. She's got bloody Nicola poisoning her mind! No right to go getting up in people's space and touching them though!"
