Emmerdale fans 'work out' why B&B never actually has guests

Emmerdale fans have concocted a theory as to why the fictional village's B&B "never has guests", with many predicting it is destined to go bust.

While viewers know it's not real life, a number of soap fans have spotted problems with where people live, and how many bedrooms these houses have. It comes as Paddy Kirk struggles to find somewhere to live.

Taking to a Facebook group dedicated to avid Emmerdale watchers, one woman said: "I know lots of members have mentioned this before but...

"Wendy’s house is empty as she now lives at the B&B. Bob's flat over the café is empty as he and the twins now live at the B&B, as does Bernice so her house is empty.

"Vinny's two flats are empty because he doesn’t yet want to live in one and the other is up for sale! Paddy could easily rent one surely! [And] Brenda could let out the flat above the café!

"Additionally, who lives at Butler's Farm? Because Nate lives with Ryan in Marlon’s house.

"All these empty houses and Paddy can’t find a place to stay, Chloe is bunking in at Charity’s. I know it’s a close knit community but it’s becoming borderline crazy!"

The post has quickly amassed hundreds of likes and comments. A fellow Emmerdale fan said: "That's why there's never any guests at the B&B, there's no room for them!"

A second said: "Can't be many rooms left for guests at the B&B if everyone lives there", and a third added: "B&B will be bust in no time with all those freeloaders".

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX
