Emmerdale fans have tried to work out Cathy Hope's "intriguing" storyline after a number of hints.
The teenager is due to take centre stage next year in a "challenging" and "emotional" new plot. Not much has been revealed yet but fans have naturally already started to speculate.
Last night's episode saw her confess to twin brother Heath that she was feeling "scared" sometimes after he told her she was acting off. She explained: "It’s like this thing comes down and I hate everything and I’m scared. And then it’s gone."

Cathy seems to get overwhelmed by her emotions at times, often snapping at dad Bob, who she called pathetic during the latest episode. Fans are now convinced she struggles with mental health issues.
Taking to Twitter, they shared their theories. Jess asked: "Do we think Cathy is going to a mental health issue, something like bipolar or borderline personality disorder? They keep saying she has this big storyline coming up."
Jamie commented: "This upcoming Cathy storyline that seems to have already begun is intriguing."
Charlotte wondered: "Theories on what this big storyline is for Cathy? They said it's never been done before, so I can't see how it can be anxiety, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia etc.
"They also said parents are going to connect with it a lot. So I can't see it being a baby swap SL. Thoughts?"
And Holly asked: "Does Cathy have Seasonal Affective Disorder?"
Soap boss Jane Hudson told OK! previously: "You'll see a really big story for Cathy, Bob's daughter, which is really emotional. It's her first big story really, and it's a challenging one and I think it's one that a lot of parents will connect with and it's one I haven't seen a soap do before so Cathy's got a big story coming up."
