Emmerdale viewers are convinced Rishi Sharma is keeping the true identity of Jai's father from him after the groom discovered he was adopted as he prepared for his nuptials to Laurel Thomas.
Jai (Chris Bisson) was left horrified when he discovered he was adopted as a baby, after finding paperwork at his father's house.
The papers confirmed Rishi ((Bhasker Patel) was not Jai's biological father but the businessman remained cagey when his son demanded answers.
Jai eventually confirmed Rishi's ex Georgia was his biological mother, as he had believed all this time but his father's identity remains a mystery.
Rishi insisted Jai was the result of a one-night stand and his biological father was out of the picture before he was born but, Emmerdale fans suspect this is a lie.
Writing in an Emmerdale forum, one Reddit user wrote: "Perhaps Rishi will suddenly gain an estranged brother who slept with Rishi's wife, hence him not being mentioned before?"
Another tweeted: "Jai’s dad is probably Rishi’s brother #emmerdale," while a third said: "I bet Jai's biological dad isn't just some one night stand but a relative of Rishi's - brother or cousin? #Emmerdale."
News of a new arrival to the village has led viewers to confirm their suspicions that Jai's father will be exposed as a relative of Rishi.
Rishi's nephew and Jai's cousin Suni, played by Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana will join the Sharma family ahead of Jai and Laurel's wedding.
Some fans have predicted the newcomer could be Jai's brother with the pair sharing the same biological father.
One questioned: "Is he Jai’s real brother? Rishi’s brother is the Dad??" And another quipped: "So there is a twist with Jai mother and extended family."
Speaking about the new arrival, executive Producer Jane Hudson explained: ”Suni arrives just in time for the wedding of his cousin Jai to Laurel but it’s Nicky who soon is making the most of his arrival. We are delighted to have Brahm join the Emmerdale family. He certainly hits the ground running as we throw him right into the heart of a big Sharma story.”
