Emmerdale fans think Ellis Chapman might be killed by Meena Jutla in upcoming scenes on the ITV soap.
Viewers have suggested, amid an exit storyline being confirmed for the character, he might die saving the life of his brother Billy Fletcher.
Billy's serial killer ex Meena is soon returning to the village, and she wants revenge after seeing Billy and partner Dawn Taylor's wedding day 'save the date'.
Fans are guessing a "massacre" could be on the cards when killer Meena returns, while it's yet to be confirmed what happens.
In upcoming scenes Ellis will seemingly leave the village for good, following actor Aaron Anthony reportedly quitting the show last year, after bosses launched a race probe against two of the show's biggest stars.
Insiders claim the star was so furious about the alleged behaviour against one of his cast members that he decided to leave.
New spoilers have revealed Ellis will be offered a new job abroad, and he decides to take it before saying goodbye to his loved ones.
But some fans think Ellis won't make it to the new job, and might be killed off in a shocking twist.
Taking to Twitter, fans speculated Meena will kill Ellis unintentionally while trying to murder Billy, or as a means of getting back at him.
One viewer predicted: "Meena will be wiping that stupid grin off Billy's face I reckon, perhaps Ellis will be caught in the crossfire."
Another said: "Maybe Ellis dies protecting Billy at the wedding, and that's how he leaves?"
A third added: "Wonder if Meena will kill Ellis," as a fourth wrote: " Meena needs to come back to the village & kill Ellis."
It comes amid fans fearing Billy himself will die, after possible hints in a recent episode when he had a row with Dawn's ex Alex.
The fact Alex had returned and was tipped to be a part of Lucas' live left fans wondering what the relevance of this was.
Questioning why the soap would bring him back, some viewers wondered if it was a hint that Lucas would need Alex in his life if Billy was to be killed by Meena.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "Billy gonna get killed off and alex will be there for lucas calling it now."
