Emmerdale viewers are convinced Arthur will come out as gay and Marcus will be there to “support” him.
During tonight’s episode of the ITV soap Arthur seemed to have a lot on his mind as he struggled to cope with his dad’s death and the fact that his long-time friend April has a crush on him. His dad Ashley Thomas sadly died in 2017 but his death still has an impact on him.
In Friday night's episode, Nicola King noticed Arthur was sitting alone in a café, looking upset. She decided to cheer him up with a slice of chocolate cake however he rushed out of the door.

Later on he was in the village hall with Noah and Marcus as they painted the wall, however Arthur became uncomfortable as Noah asked if he was friends "with or without benefits" with April. Arthur started to look even more uncomfortable as Noah said: "I reckon Arthur's got a secret he doesn't want to share with us.”
Marcus noticed that Arthur wasn’t feeling himself as he ordered Noah to drop it. However Arthur rushed out the room. In a difficult closing scene, Arthur was shown weeping at his father's graveside, though the soap stopped short of confirming what's been troubling him.
In a heart-breaking scene, Arthur was shown crying at his dad’s graveside however viewers think that’s not the only thing that is getting him upset. Fans are convinced Arthur will open up about his sexuality and Marcus will be the one to “support” him.
