Emmerdale fans warn 'better not' as they spot Caleb 'blunder' after waking up after push

Emmerdale fans appear to have made their feelings clear and have told soap bosses they 'better not' as they saw Caleb Milligan wake from his induced coma. Last week, the ITV soap's newcomer was feared dead after he was seen tumbling off a woodland ridge after being pushed by a mystery assailant.

However, the mystery didn't stay a mystery for long as during an earlier trip to the Dales this week, it was revealed that it was Caleb's son Nicky who pushed his dad before leaving him for dead. Caleb has spent the last few days in an induced coma in the hospital after being found sprawled out on the ground in the woods by Cain who was out walking the dog at the time.

Cain was one of those quizzed by the police after Caleb made a few enemies before he was left for dead after his plan to bring down Kim Tate while managing to ruin Butler's Farm, which is owned by Cain's wife Moira, was exposed. But it was Mackenzie Boyd who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

And during Wednesday night's trip to the Dales, viewers saw Caleb wake from his coma to Nicky and his half-sister Chas by his side. After Chas headed back to work, Nicky appeared to be testing what his dad remembered as he kept suggesting Mack was to blame and he should pay for what he's done.

However, Caleb revealed that he remembers everything about the incident. "It's a shock someone hated me enough to kill me," Caleb said. But as Nicky, played by Lewis Cope, tried to leave the hospital after staying there all night, Caleb firmly said: "No, sit down, there's stuff that we need to talk about.

"You can stop pretending that you care. I remember exactly what happened and it was you that pushed me. You could be facing an attempted murder charge. I suppose you thought you could get away with it. You left me there to die!" As he panicked, Nicky replied: "You wouldn't actually tell the police on me would you dad?"

Their conversation was soon interrupted as Caleb had to go for a scan and he told his son they would come back to their chat later leaving Nicky wondering if he will end up in prison for what he's done.

But Emmerdale fans have made it known that they don't want Mack - or someone else - framed for the crime after previously predicting that Caleb would shift the blame from Nicky to someone else he is holding a grudge against.

@cathozzy123 said: "I hope he doesn’t blame Mack!!! The son needs to get done." @dnicaw wrote: "Better not blame Mack after he’s trying to do right by Reuben.. that Chloe better no beg for him back either, talking about I’m sorry, I was wrong." @thebigloc1 posted: "It was obvious it was Nicky. Hope he does not frame Kim or Will or Moira or Cain."

@tracey.ll added: "Don't frame Kim she's good in the soap don't frame anyone caleb didn't have to be pushed he could of tripped and he could tell the police that to save his son and not frame any of the others as there all great characters."

Others, however, complained about a blunder involving Caleb as he appeared to wake up with a clear memory of what happened. @ladychloe89 tweeted: "Caleb wakes up fine from coma after falling from quite a height onto a tree or rock or whatever is was. Ridiculous #emmerdale." @Winis_World noted: "Straight out of a coma, with full memory & perfect speech. Wow #Emmerdale."
