Emmerdale fans U-turn on Caleb as they say he's '100% right' about Kyle

Cain's long-lost brother made a point in tonight's episode that a lot of Emmerdale fans thought 'needed to be said', but many are still suspicious of him.

In Thursday's episode, Moira and Amy were left in terror as Kyle went missing. Thankfully, he was found by police officers wandering beside the road.

But when police took him home, the officer told Moira and Amy that Kyle had confessed on the way back to the village to killing Al - which Cain is currently taking the fall for. Moira and Amy were quick to deny Kyle's confession, saying he was just trying to get his Dad home.

But another person was present in the room during the whole exchange. Cain's estranged brother Caleb heard everything, and once the police left, he was quick to confront the two women and quickly worked out what Kyle had said was true.

He implored them to let him hire a lawyer for Kyle and confess properly, so Cain could come home and they could save Kyle from feeling guilty for the rest of his life. Moira took the idea to Cain, who flatly denied it as the episode ended. But viewers disagree, with many saying that in this situation Caleb is correct.

@SistahSkinglo wrote: "I hate to admit it, however Caleb has a point stop forcing Kyle to lie because the guilt is gonna eat him up #emmerdale." Joanne tweeted: "Oh actually I am really starting to love Caleb!!he's telling them some home truths at last #emmerdale."

Similarly, Simon Ramsay said: "I agree with Caleb regarding Kyle! "Protecting him" by letting him live with the lie.. #Emmerdale." Wini Boansi said Caleb was "100% right" and @riprap1 called him a "good man". @liadsky, who had criticised Caleb earlier in the episode for trying to get involved, wrote: "Okay I take back the F**k off to Caleb, he’s right #Emmerdale."

However, while many found themselves u-turning on Caleb's brother, others still weren't so convinced. Like, Vladimir Raul, who wrote: "this Caleb guy is already poking his nose in too many businesses."

Lottie Mills said: "I do not know if they can trust Caleb or not. Like what’s his angle on this?! Why would he help?! I know Cain helped him but I dunno I fully don’t trust him! #emmerdale also how dumb is Chas thinking Paddy is gonna take her back!"

Elsewhere in the episode, Paddy nearly killed a dog at the vets because of being distracted by his situation with Chas, and Jacob lied to a medical school friend and told them Liam was his Dad. Leyla agreed to go along with the lie to keep Jacob's friend's business.
