Emmerdale fans stunned as Debbie Dingle exposes love rat Al to fiancee Priya Sharma

Debbie Dingle was left horrified this evening after discovering that her lover Al Chapman had been two-timing her and was engaged to Priya Sharma.

Cain's daughter, played by Charley Webb, returned to the Dales after hearing that her daughter was causing trouble.

But Debbie remained entirely oblivious about Al's situation for days until going into the Woolpack for a drink.

Overhearing Priya plan her wedding, Debbie had probed Chas about who Priya was marrying, initially believing that it was Ellis.

But she was left utterly devastated and shocked when Chas revealed that it wasn't Ellis, but his dad Al that Priya was marrying.

Initially, Debbie was in total shock - but soon made her way to Take A Vow to reveal the truth to Priya.

And it looks like Al is set for a tough time, as actress Charley warned that he will regret messing with Debbie, and even teased the potential of her and Priya teaming up.

She explained: "Obviously Debbie is the kind of character that you don’t want to mess with her because she does go all out if somebody really does her over, she doesn’t let things lie.

"I think her and Priya together will become a bit of a force.

"Obviously Priya’s a lot softer than Debbie but when somebody treats you the way Al has treated her, it might just be a different side to Priya that we might see."

On whether there could be a lasting partnership between the two women after Al's deceit is exposed, Charley wasn't so sure - but she hinted they could remain loyal to each other.

Charley said: "I mean they’re very, very, different and I think in terms of what Priya brings to the table for Debbie, they don’t really gel as characters because they are so different.

"Priya’s a lot ditzier, I think Debbie would get frustrated with that, long term, so I don’t know if they would end up being really good friends."

We can't wait!
