For the fourth time since the start of October, Emmerdale killed off another major character on Tuesday night.
Viewers had been left on the edge of their seat on Monday after Al Chapman and Cain Dingle brawled in an empty barn, leaping for a shotgun before we heard a bullet go off.
The cliffhanger was solved at the start of Tuesday's episode when we saw Al spread eagled in the hay and Cain panicking.

Al and Cain's rift came to a shock ending during a showdown in the barn after Al's affair with Cain's sister, Chas Dingle
However, some fans believe that Cain wasn't the shooter after all as they took to social media to share their thoughts.
A crucial aspect for many is that we never saw Cain pull the trigger, or the shooting itself, leading many to believe that it wasn't the notorious bad boy who did the deed.
Instead, a number of viewers believe it was Aaron Dingle, Chas's son who had found out about her affair, that shot Al.
One fan said: "I reckon it "was Aaron, that shot Al? #Emmerdale"
Before a second echoed: "#emmerdale Thing is, who shot whom? Has Aaron shot AL? Has Moira shot AL? Has Chas shot AL?"
Others think Chas may also be involved, as another wrote: "#Emmerdale Chas deffo already knows. She was there. She pulled that trigger! There’s no way it was Cain… but he’ll cover for his sister"
While a fourth commented: "No Cain did not do it I reckon someone else Cain is not a killer #Emmerdale."
Cain, meanwhile, raced home and said his goodbyes to his wife Moira and his young kids, before armed police descended on the house.
As Cain asked Kyle to step up as "the eldest" and told Moira to keep the kids inside, he stepped outside with his hands up and was led away by officers.
One fan said: "Cain is going to run away to France and meet up with Andy, Adam and any other person who has fled there #Emmerdale."
"Is Cain going out of Emmerdale as well?? #Emmerdale," tweeted a second.
