Dan Spencer discovered the consequences of his sudden actions during the first trip to the Dales this week. Emmerdale fans watched on Monday night (July 10) as he found out that he was being charged with grievous bodily harm [GBH] after punching Lloyd who had been pestering his daughter.
Dan lost his temper with Amelia’s stalker Lloyd after previously ordering him to stay away. While at work at the garage with Cain Dingle, the mechanic saw Lloyd leave the church with Amelia before the pair embraced after having what later transpired to be an emotional heart-to-heart.
But as Lloyd goaded Dan, telling him he can't control Amelia and that he was probably going to see 'a lot more' of him, Dan snapped and punched him in the face. Emmerdale fans saw the victim fall in slow motion before he hit his head on a rock, knocking him out cold.

Lloyd has since been fighting for his life in the hospital and after already being quizzed by the police, Dan made a mistake by heading to the hospital to try and get more information on his victim's condition. But he ended up meeting Lloyd's wife and a confrontation ensured in which Dan told her her husband was the sick one for stalking his daughter.
During Monday's episode, Dan found out the police had charged him with grievous bodily harm after hearing about his run-in with Lloyd's wife and hearing a threatening message he had sent to Lloyd before punching him.
Dan was lucky to be released on bail but as he returned home, he refused to tell Amelia what had really happened, playing down his questioning by the police and was again seen soughing comfort from his garage boss, Cain Dingle.
But while Dan tried to come to terms with his impending punishment, Emmerdale viewers were flocking to social media to point out what they believe to be a major issue after Dan's accusations about Lloyd.
One tweeted: "They've not even questioned or gone through Amelia's phone ffs. #Emmerdale." Another said: "Sorry but wouldn't his messages still be on Amelia's social inboxes? #Emmerdale." A third commented: "Wait a minute. Have the police not talked to Amelia...and searched every nook & cranny for the teenage pest's mobile and laptop devices #Emmerdale." A viewer also added: "You'd think they would interview Amelia. But that would be too convenient #Emmerdale."
