Emmerdale fans spot Leyla's drug dealer is a famous face from another soap

Emmerdale's Leyla Cavanagh visited a drug dealer tonight - and he's a famous face from another soap.

Leyla's drug habit has been spiralling out of control, with her husband Dr Liam seemingly completely unaware of what is happening. With Suzy having now arrived in the Dales, Leyla has been struggling with her cocaine addiction.

During tonight's episode, she covertly headed into the Yorkshire countryside to meet a man who could sell her what she needed, but fans of the ITV soap were distracted by the fact that the actor who played the part had a key role in another soap.

Taking to Twitter, viewers noted that the role was being played by Parry Glasspool, who played Harry Thompson on the Channel 4 soap between February 2015 and July 2019 when the character passed away.

"Was that drug dealer off #Hollyoaks, he looks familiar? #Emmerdale " one fan quizzed.

Another noted: "It's interesting to see Parry Glasspool in the start of tonight's #Emmerdale - he's hardly changed since he played Harry in #hollyoaks!" as a third wrote: "Oh hello it’s Harry from Hollyoaks. #Emmerdale."

"Leyla looking to make a purchase from Harry off Hollyoaks #Emmerdale," a fourth penned, with a fifth writing: " Harry from Hollyoaks is now a dealer #Emmerdale." A sixth added: " Harry Thompson from #Hollyoaks visits #Emmerdale."

When Liam asked to borrow the car, she refused and was forced to drive him to work instead. Leyla found herself distracted in the car and her and Liam ended up bumping into the back of an off-duty police officer, forcing her to ditch the drugs.

So she quickly had to return to dealer Jason for some more drugs.

However, he was concerned she was selling his stuff to other people.

"Are you selling my stuff? Are you buying stuff off me and then selling it to other people?" he said, "Am I your stopgap while you’re between wholesalers? Because you don’t look like someone getting through three grams in a couple of hours.

"Don’t be selling to my customers, or you’ll put me in a bad mood. And I’m not nearly as much fun when I’m in a bad mood."

*Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
