Emmerdale fans 'solve' Faith Dingle's secret - as Cain and Al 'brothers' in DNA twist

Emmerdale bosses recently confirmed Faith Dingle was keeping a secret, and that this would be exposed on the ITV soap during the flashforward week.

Whatever it is, Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw teased it would heavily impact her children Chas and Cain in future scenes.

There's also confirmation that Cain will take centre stage in a separate plot during this huge week, alongside his enemy Al Chapman.

Bosses have teased something big happens with lives on the line, and that the two men might see their relationship change in the aftermath.

Now, viewers are questioning if the two storylines are linked, and maybe a bombshell secret will be exposed.

Fans took to social media after recalling Al's backstory, and questioned whether Al was secretly the son of Faith, and a sibling to Cain and Chas.

This would of course change their relationship, and would be a huge twist set to change the village forever.

Emmerdale are remaining tight-lipped about what happens between Cain and Al, and what happens with Faith, until the scenes air next month.

But this hasn't stopped fans speculating that they already have it sussed, and that Al is secretly Faith's son - amid his long-running feud with the Dingles.

Taking to social media, one fan posted: "Cain and Al secret brothers wow Cain and Abal biblical reference fits. Can see Cain hating Faith but Al loving up to her to rub Cain up if this is true."

Another said: "I think [Faith's] secret is that Al is her son who she had adopted before she married Shadrach and he and Cain are half brothers.

"Remember when Al first came in, he said he was adopted but was never happy and always felt unloved."

This comment led to others loving the idea, with one tweet reading: "That would also mean that Chas and Al are half brother and sister too!" as another fan wrote: "Yes, and he had an incestuous affair with his niece Debbie and nearly with Chas."

Producer Laura recently teased both plots to The Mirror and other press, revealing: "We'll see the Cain and Al rivalry resurface and I can promise you that that will take a big twist in the special week, and lives will definitely be in danger."

She later added: "We know that these two have a simmering rivalry that's been building for months now, so we think it's going to be explosive when these two butt heads again.

"Will they both come away from the week unscathed or will something big happen that will change the dynamic between these two forever?"

On Faith, she said: "Faith [has a] big, huge and shocking secret. That's revealed to Moira - she's the one that she shares that with. There's some really touching scenes in the week with Moira and Faith.

"We'll see some things going on with Faith that she's keeping a secret, but why?"

Cain and Al's feud kicked off when Al was revealed to have been two-timing his daughter Debbie, with him also seducing her mother Charity.

In the fallout to this, he set out to ruin Marlon and Chas at the pub, which backfired, and he's been winding up Cain repeatedly leading to danger and drama.

Viewers will have to tune in to the ITV soap to find out what happens, and what it means for our favourite villagers.
