Emmerdale fans scream 'no' over Charity and Caleb as they work out 'twist' and scratch heads over relationship

Emmerdale fans were left scratching their heads as they tried to work out whether Charity Dingle and Caleb Milligan were related as they found solace in one another. Charity is currently nursing a broken heart after discovering her new husband secretly fathered a baby.

The much-loved ITV soap character, played by Emma Atkins, discovered the truth when she saw Mack refer to himself as 'daddy' as he worried over his newborn son, Reuben, who was seriously ill in hospital at the time. Viewers already knew that Mack had enjoyed a one-night stand with Chloe last year during a tiff with his then-girlfriend Charity before trying to keep his distance when he found out she was pregnant.

Mack has, however, been spending time with his son, and Chloe, and last week Charity's heart was further shattered when she relented and let the pair come to her granddaughter Sarah's 18th gathering at the pub before spotting them kissing in the back room.

And then during Monday night's trip to the Dales (June 12), Mack and Chloe took things further. The new parents decided to hire a babysitter and go for a meal together. But things quickly took a turn when the couple locked lips before Chloe then took Mack's hand and led him upstairs.

Meanwhile, Caleb is facing being banished from the village by his family for good after only arriving on the scene in December. Last week, his plans to bring down Kim Tate, ruining his sister-in-law Moria's farming business in the process, were exposed.

Viewers have known for weeks that Caleb was planning to bring down Kim, played by Claire King, as he wanted to get his hands on what he believed was his birthright after discovering her ex-husband Frank Tate was his father.

And despite Caleb's plea to half-brother Cain that he was going to reimburse Moira after causing her financial ruin, Cain wasn't having any of it and demanded his brother flee the village for good. However, he manage to keep Chas slightly on side and remain at The Woolpack before she eventually chucked him out amid a face-off with Cain before later, 'Dingle Court' was called.

During Emmerdale on Tuesday night (June 13), viewers saw Caleb get a few stern words from Leyla Cavanagh after he showed romantic interest in her while lying to his family and attempting to pull the wool over Kim's eyes.

Watched by Charity, who was drinking alone outside The Woolpack, the pair ended up back at her place and as they started to drink and open up to one another, one thing quickly led to another and by the end of the programme Charity and Caleb shared a passionate kiss.

And it horrified some Emmerdale fans. @perfwithsurf screamed: "Emmerdale OMG please no Caleb and charity. Horrible." @Danielle92_xo tweeted: "Charity and Caleb? Didn’t see that one coming. It’s kinda weird… #Emmerdale." @Vitt2TsNoC asked: "Aren't Charity and Caleb blood cousins? What? #Emmerdale."

@DavidTate164167 posted: "#Emmerdale Musing over the Dingle family tree. Cain and Charity = cousins? Debbie = their illegitimate daughter. Cain and Caleb? Half-brothers? Charity and Caleb? Potentially disturbing?" @Carol44698330 added with a sick face emoji: "Gone right off my tea now thanks Charity #emmerdale."

Meanwhile, some think they have already worked out a 'twist'. @Bu71954521Tracy asked: "So, do we think Charity will end up pregnant to caleb ? #emmerdale." @deanobeanos posted: "Watch charity end up getting pregnant now #Emmerdale."
