Emmerdale's Chas Dingle and Al Chapman were left horror struck on Thursday’s instalment of the ITV soap, when Aaron caught them in the middle of a moment of passion.
The scene came after their romance hit a roadblock earlier in the hour-long episode, when Kerry Wyatt proposed to Al ( Michael Wildman ) – shortly after he suggested to Chas (Lucy Pargeter) they run away together.
Feeling loved-up, Kerry cornered Al in the Woolpack with a microphone and performed a surprise rap, which culminated in her proposing to him.
As everyone watched on and cringed at the mighty pause after Kerry popped the question, a shell shocked Al felt obliged to say yes.
In later scenes outside the pub, Chas was fuming at the situation, as Al insisted he’s still in love with her – leaving the pair unable to resist sharing an intimate moment together.
However, as the pair embraced and shared a kiss, they were stunned when recently returned Aaron caught them in the act.
An enraged Aaron was chased by Chas and ultimately spilled all on the recent romance – forcing Aaron to present her with an ultimatum or else he would tell all to Chas' husband Paddy.
Emmerdale fans were jubilant that the truth had finally been uncovered by Chas’ son, with many praising the return of Aaron to the Dales for the soap’s 50th anniversary.
However, many feared Aaron could let his blood ties to mum Chas outweigh his close friendship with Paddy.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “I hope Aaron stays loyal to Paddy, not his bloody mother!… he’s been more of a parent to him than her after all!!!!”
A second posted: “Aaron I’m BEGGING YOU please don’t keep this a secret for your mum.”
“I was so hoping they would get caught !!! Get in Aaron. I hope he has the decency to tell Paddy now. He's practically been a father to him,” a third penned.
“I swear Emmerdale just got a 1000 times better now Danny Miller back on screen,” another posted as a fellow fan chimed: “Aaron the best in this episode by far..Well done.”
Will Aaron spill the beans to Paddy? Or could Chas decide to stay with her husband and break things off with Al for good?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV.
