Emmerdale's Chloe Harris finally uncovered Al Chapman’s affair on the ITV soap in scenes on Thursday evening, as she broke the news to a devastated Kerry Wyatt.
Chloe made the discovery after tracking down details of a loan Al took out for £20,000 in Kerry’s name.
She played detective as she discovered the loan had been used as part of a cash down payment on a house and when she spoke with the estate agent, she learned he had noted the garden would be perfect for his mystery partner’s child.
Chloe also found receipts for long lunches and hotel stays away – neither of which Kerry had been on.
When she broke the news, Kerry was in tears just days after burying Al, following his death during the devastating 50th anniversary storm in the village.
Emmerdale fans were left predicting who Chloe and Kerry could point the finger at in upcoming scenes as they try to figure out who Al was having an affair with before he died.
Kerry and Chloe were both unsure over who the other woman could be, but many think they could turn to Priya Kotecha and incorrectly accuse her of having an affair with Al.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Poor Priya is gonna get blamed for Al's bit on the side.,” as another echoed: “Yet she’s gonna accuse priya of cheating with Al.”
A third wrote: “YES Chloe. After she mistakenly accuses Priya presumably?”
“He was marrying Priya once as well before they completely ruined & changed his character,” another tweeted.
Viewers know that Chas Dingle was Al's secret lover, meaning that Chloe could be off the mark, but given that Priya has a daughter, Amba Metcalfe, and history with Al she may come to the conclusion fans think.
This comes as Chloe is facing her own cheating drama after she was revealed to be Mackenzie Boyd's one-night stand, which resulted in her getting pregnant.
Charity Dingle will soon find out that Chloe is expecting, leading Mack to consider telling the truth.
Actress Jessie Elland has spoken about what happens when Charity guesses Chloe's pregnancy in upcoming scenes, describing it as ‘awful’.
She said: “Chloe is squirming in discomfort; you can't help but feel for her because Charity is actually being really lovely to Chloe and wanting to help her.
“In light of what happened with Noah, Charity has gone out of the way to be nice to Chloe. She's says 'Who's the daddy? Is he gonna support you?' and Chloe, obviously has to lie.
“It’s awkward but also on another level, Charity is being so lovely to her and Chloe is missing out on that maternal figure, because Kerry has gone. She's wanted someone to look after her. But there’s that awful tension that person's boyfriend is the father of her baby..."
