Emmerdale fans think a character has secretly returned to the village, and it could mean horror ahead for some residents.
Rishi Sharma has sensed something weird is going on in his house, and is suspecting a mystery intruder is living there.
He currently lives in the house alone, and has noticed some odd goings on from kitchen jars being moved, to the kettle being filled up and the weird noises too.
In the latest episode, Rishi was so spooked he left the house after hearing noises upstairs and calling out, but getting no reply.
The soap seemed to confirm there was someone messing with Rishi, as one of the curtains was pulled back and then let go as Rishi stared up at a window.
In upcoming scenes, Rishi's son Jai will believe Rishi is making it up or is just lonely, after his daughter Priya left the village.
But viewers are questioning whether a character might have returned in secret, and is possibly hiding out at the house.
Many fans came up with the same name as they hoped this was the comeback of serial killer Meena Jutla, who was sent to prison last year.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: "I would love for Rishi’s intruder to be the one and only Meena!! Oh that would be brilliant but it’s not gonna happen."
Another fan agreed: "Who is in Rishi’s house? Has Meena escaped from prison and holed up in there?."
A third fan asked: "Who else thinks Meena's escaped Prison and lurking in Rishi's house?" as a fourth added: "ALTHOUGH If I was to guess I’d probably say Marshall (hiding from his dad who kicked him out maybe) Still want Meena back tho."
Last summer, soap producer Jane Hudson addressed the possibility of a return for Meena after it was teased ahead of the 50th birthday episodes.
She said to Metro at the time: "Once you’ve done a story as big as Meena’s story, you have to know when to bring it to a close.
"I think we played it to its fullest and it was absolutely brilliant, and Paige was absolutely brilliant – and Meena is now behind bars."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
