Emmerdale fans puzzled by wardrobe blunder as they're convinced scene has been cut

Emmerdale fans were left puzzled by an apparent wardrobe blunder on the ITV soap tonight.

The show returned for a new episode this evening, as Paddy - fresh from his split from Chas - was encouraged to go on a double date with Bear and a mother and daughter. Paddy wasn't keen but went along with the plan, struggling with how awkward it was.

Bear was very keen on the mother, whilst the younger lady was keen on Paddy. However, he didn't seem to reciprocate the feelings and it was all under the watchful eye of his ex Mandy Dingle.

However, fans of the ITV soap were left confused by the fact the two women were wearing the same brightly coloured leopard print jumper, and yet it was never mentioned by any of the characters in the scene.

"So we are ignoring the fact that Mandy and that woman are wearing the same jumper? #Emmerdale," one wrote.

A second added: "They couldn't have made it more obvious that Mandy and that woman wore the same jumper but they didn't mention it EVEN ONCE! #Emmerdale," as a third shared: "She's got mandys jumper on!!! #Emmerdale."

"I love how Paddys date and mandy are wearing the same jumper. Iconic #Emmerdale," a fourth wrote.

Some fans were convinced a scene must have been cut from the show to explain why it was never mentioned.

" #Emmerdale Did I miss it or did someone mention the Mandy/Redhead jumper-snap in the bar?" one viewer wrote as another penned: "Just realised that Lisa and the new lady chatting up Paddy are wearing the same jumper #Emmerdale."

It comes after actress Lisa Riley teased a possible reunion for Mandy and Paddy.

Speaking about how their bond starts once more, she said: "They just start talking about day trips they had in Blackpool. It's full nostalgia. And then their song comes on, which is Tina Turner's What's Love Got To Do With It, and Mandy's fighting and fighting. They're locking eyes and Mandy is going, 'No.' Mandy doesn't want to be a doormat again.

"She's always been a doormat when it comes to relationships and she refuses, because she knows it's not right and she can hear the rest of the family going, 'Mandy, don't do it.' But when Tina Turner comes on they think it's a sign, someone's telling them."
