Emmerdale fans predict unexpected duo will buy The Woolpack as pub goes up for auction

Emmerdale fans are convinced they know who is going to purchase The Woolpack as it's set to go up for auction in the near future.

The much-loved pub in the heart of the village was left in tatters on Christmas Day last year due to an epic explosion which almost killed sisters Meena Jutla and Manpreet Sharma.

Al Chapman was responsible as he was under pressure to obtain the land for businessman Gavin, who wanted to build flats there instead.

However, Gavin pulled out of the development deal after Al had a confrontation with Cain Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd regarding the pub.

Al then told Chas and Marlon Dingle that their contract deal was off due to Cain's involvement as he declared that the only option left with the pub was to put it up for auction.

Marlon and Chas were left devastated by the news and she later confronted Cain for ruining things and disowned him as her brother.

But fans of the ITV soap have now predicted that Cain and Moira will be the ones to buy the pub at auction, in order for him to make it up to his sister.

Taking to Twitter, one person claimed: : "Cain’s gonna buy the pub # Emmerdale."

Another tweeted: "Cain to buy Woolpack and give it back to Chas & Marlon. #emmerdale."

However, one viewer wasn't so keen and posted: "The auction on Feb 3rd. Please don't let a Dingle own the pub again #Emmerdale."

And a few others predicted that business woman Kim Tate will be the new owner instead.

"I think Kim should run the pub #Emmerdale," one said.

Another suggested: "Why don’t the Dingles do a deal with Kim and have Paddy ‘fix’ another of her racing horses - then the whole family far and wide put loads of bets on, spread across many bookmakers. The horse wins, Kim takes a cut and they have money to save the pub. Simple! #emmerdale."

It comes after Emmerdale's Executive Producer Laura Shaw recently said: "I think we’re going to see a lot more pushing and things might get a little bit worse for Chas and Paddy before they get better.

"From the ashes of Christmas Day, we’re going to see a shiny new Woolpack emerge this year and the fight for who’s going to control it will definitely be on.

"Who’s going to be victoriously holding their keys at the end of it though? Who’s going to have their name over the door? You’re going to have to watch to find out."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
