Emmerdale viewers have praised Marlon Dingle's “powerful” storyline after he suffered a huge stroke in a devastating scene.
During tonight's episode of the ITV soap, happiness quickly turned into absolute horror for Marlon.
The day seemed to be off to a good start as both him and Rhona were overcome with excitement after their joint marriage proposal to each other.

They both went on to visualise their future together and began to plan a happy life together however once Marlon went home for five minutes, completely out of the blue he suffered a life-changing stroke.
April ends up finding him just in enough time but he was barely conscious and fighting for his life.
Scared for her dad, April quickly calls an ambulance and Rhona rushes to the hospital to be by his side.
In the emotional scene Rhona’s told that he needs emergency surgery and confused Marlon tries to plead with her not to leave him, but he’s unable to talk.

Rhona is overwhelmed when she sees how ill he is and rushes from the room so he doesn’t see how upset she is.
it’s clear that life for him and Rhona is going to be very different from the life they imagined when they proposed.
Viewers were more than impressed with the scene and praised the soap and actor Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon for raising awareness on strokes and portraying the role as real as possible.
