Emmerdale fans have been left puzzled by a huge police blunder as Manpreet Sharma woke up from her coma.
The doctor - played by Rebecca Sarker - appeared multiple times in the episode, sitting up in her hospital bed as she had a heartfelt chat with her lover Charles and another one with her ex Rishi.
Manpreet has been in a coma ever since she was knocked over by Charles' car whilst trying to escape from her evil serial killer sister Meena Jutla. Manpreet was hold hostage by her sibling in a barn in horrifying scenes last week.
During yesterday's episode, she woke up from her coma and thought she saw her sister Meena by her bedside - but it ended up just being an illusion and it was just a nurse trying to check if she was ok.
However, fans of the ITV soap were left confused as to why the police hadn't started to quiz Manpreet on Meena, as they had been telling Vinny and Liv all week that they needed to hear what happened from Manpreet first hand.
" #Emmerdale So unless something happened in the first half which I missed, if Manpreet is ok then why isn't she telling the cops about Meena and getting Liv released from prison?" one fan wrote online.
A second added: "Why haven't the police interviewed Manpreet yet. She's clearly well able to talk and they need to hear from her what really happened. Its like they don't want to know the whole truth. #Emmerdale."
"Manpreet looks ready to talk to the police. Will she do it now or wait until Meena gets back and kills her," a third wrote.
Manpreet was the only one who has been told by Meena about her murdering four people - her friend Nadine, as well as residents Leanna Cavanagh, Ben Tucker and Andrea Tate. She also confessed she tried to murder Victoria Sugden.
"Now, there was quite a gap between Nadine and Leanna. But when the moment came I was so ready for it. She really should have kept her nose out of my business," she chillingly said, "Then after Leanna there was Andrea - magic number three. How about Ben. Poor, sweet little Ben. I’d been caught on one of his little camera things trying to drown Victoria by the waterfall and there we go."
